Black Burns Fast

Seventeen-year-old Luthando is a bookworm attending a prestigious girls-only boarding school in South Africa, where she is seen as a model student and a terrible bore. When the newly arrived, charismatic troublemaker Ayanda sweeps her off her feet, her carefully ordered life begins to tilt. Her romance with Ayanda offers her unexpected freedom, a cool new friend group, and an escape from her overbearing mother. However, Ayanda makes a reckless decision that shakes up Luthando’s world to its core.
