Bouchra, a Moroccan lesbian coyote filmmaker living in New York, is struggling with a creative block. While on a journey of exploring her sexual identity, she is working on a semi-autobiographical film and trying to reconnect with her mother living in Casablanca through telephone calls and intimate conversations. They discuss their feelings, taboos and Bouchra’s coming out. During a visit to her family in Morocco, Bouchra makes an unexpected discovery. Meriem Bennani and Orian Barki directed the film, wrote the screenplay and play the lead and a supporting role respectively.
