Iván & Hadoum

Hadoum kommt als Saisonarbeiterin in eine Gewächshausanlage nach Almeria. Sie fängt eine Beziehung mit dem Gabelstaplerfahrer Iván an, die ständig hinterfragt wird – nicht zuletzt, weil Iván trans ist und Hadoum ursprünglich aus Marokko kommt. Als Iván Schichtleiter werden soll und Hadoum eine Gewerkschaft gründen will, gerät die Liebe zwischen ihnen unter noch mehr Druck. Iván & Hadoum hat 2026 den Teddy Award für den besten Spielfilm gewonnen, Regisseur Ian de la Rosa ist selbst trans.

When Hadoum arrives as a seasonal worker to an agricultural plant, she easily reconnects with the forklift driver Iván, whom she remembers from before he transitioned. They bond over being outsiders, but conflicts arise when Iván is to become the line manager and Hadoum tries to unionise the workers. The fact that Iván is the co-founder’s son and Hadoum is an immigrant from Morocco further challenges their relationship. Iván & Hadoum won Best Feature at the Teddy Award this year, its director Ian de la Rosa is himself trans.
